I don't think so, I did mine with the items supplied by FASS.

 

I have everything I need except for that black clip inside the quick connect. Or is that something you take off of the stock fuel line.

 

MIne was in the fitting supplied by FASS, but I'm pretty sure you can use the stock clip. Just be very careful in the removal process.

 

I just hope that using the stock clip works

 

If not a little imagination and some hay wire will hold it temporarily.

 

Well I just emailed Thorough Bred Diesel to see if I could get that piece through them.

 

it should be in the fitting you have.

 

I know it should be but my kit doesn't have it. I know it didn't fall out because it wasn't in the bag before I opened it.

Well I have been emailing back and forth with Thorough Bred Diesel and their sales rep said they tried to order the part from FASS and they no longer offer it. They just haven't updated the parts list to show that it's not needed. They told me that the black clip is not needed for installation.
