Default FASS

So, tomorrow I am finally ordering a FASS 150 for my Dodge. I would like to know where you guys think is the best place to mount it on the frame. Does it make a difference or not?

I HAD to mount my AirDog on the outside of the frame.. Quad cab, short bed... No room between the gas tank and the x-fer case!

If you would like i have pictures!

Pictures would be great! How far from the tank did you mount yours?

I have another question too for anybody out there. What's the best way to hook up an Autometer electric fuel pressure guage if you have a FASS 150?

I installed my FASS 150 on the outside of the frame, under the very front left corner of the box. It hangs from the floor of the box, and some customization to the mounting brackets had to be done. I find it very secure up in there, and only 1/2" of filter hangs below the body line. I'll try and snap some picts tonight.

I would look at Vulcan Performance one of the sponsors on here they offer a lot of the fittings with ports that will allow you to easily set up your FP gauge

I strongly suggest putting it into the Bonjo fitting right at the VP. You can drill and tap it yourself, or buy a new Bonjo bolt.

Here is how I mounted mine, you can barely see the bottoms of the filters.

You can kind of see the modifications I had to make here:

And just a few more shots of it;

I looked at their instructions, and didn't like it at all. I modified the brackets, and mounted it almost as high as I could. Left some room for air flow, about 1/2". The other reason I did it that way was how secure it is now. I feel it is in a more secure position, hanging strait down instead of a hanging off a vertical face.
