how much better is the 40 over the 30 is it worth the swap r should i just by a after market i'm runing stock head gasket 4 now

 

i liked my hx40 for what i needed it for. alot of people run the hx35/40 hybrid. you pretty much gotta look at it in terms of cost. pick up a used hx40 for 5 or 600 bucks, or go buy an aftermarket for 1200-2000

 

I just want to keep my heat down once i put in my new inj. 90's or 140's still trying to decide

 

just installed a hx40 on my 24v and noticed that the egt ran alittle bit higher at lower rpms...but it helps once the turbo lights....I am running 485hp injectors with it and egt are in the normal range all the time

 

not all hx40's are created equal. the hx40 has several different compressor sizes and turbine housings. the super40 is pretty much equal to the s300g/superB the regualr hx40 will not slow as much air and often come with a larger/laggy housing.
