Default Clutch??

Went for a cruise yesterday,50 60 mile road trip, city and highway driving, out of nowhere, tried to run over someone in front of me at stop light, went on freeway to next shopping site.Went in for a hour or so.Came out and push in clutch to start and it jumps like in gear with no clutch pedal engaged.Long story short, suspect hydraulic cylinder, had to be towed.Thank God for AAA.Need advice on who to have do work cause I am disabled and it is not my truck, thinking southbend clutch so need estimate of financial damage and ideas on who is best in houston texas area to install and haul it to do it.Also has exhibited hardly any slipping ever except in higher gear with much throttle and when trying to leave last not pedal went to floor and never did that before so that is why I think it is hydraulic, but will have clutch done too,may add more power in future so want what clutch to get advice too. Thanks in advance for any and all help....Help!!!!

its not that hard of an install. but does require some contortion to get to the bolts under the clutch pedal. the upgrades hydros are not much more than the dealer part. get teh master/slave combo, not seperate parts.

Default Update with smile

Pulled out hydraulic system for clutch yesterday and found fluid in back of master cylinder and rust on clutch rod out of pedal and fluid inside electrical start switch.Had late start and just wanted to check it all out but today went out and took my new slave and master purchased seperately and while I am at it just drained and cleaned everything and removed line from slave, roll pin, and installed new gasket (o-ring)and put brake fluid to top in slave and installed line and removed line from master and installed new oring and then kept it all in line with reservoir at top like in truck and then pushed rod in slave in and out (full revolutions) until no air bubbles shown in reservoir and topped off and kept it like that(upright as I fed slave back down to tranny and bolted slave on,then moved up and had helper holding reservoir and feeding me line while under neath. Then installed master and reservoir like factory and got in and took a ride.......Works like new so will have the clutch nightmare later on in life. You don`t have to buy a dealer complete set up and went thru rock auto for around 120.00 and good to go.Sorry about the windage but may help someone else sooner or later.........
