well im back to cummins after loseing my stroker, looking to put some type of programer, chip ect in my 01, any opinions? i was thinking smartys, edge or quadzilla, but also on that note i work at a diesel repair shop, and the boss said he flashes stuff into big trucks ecm's all the time, so what im asking is do i need something like a smartys if i can make a custom flash on the stock ecm?

P.S. its good to be back

I guess it would depend on how much you are looking for. I can only imagine that the program flashed into your ECM from your boss wouldn't be as aggressive as a Smarty setup. I also think there is a lot of research behind the Smarty settings, and are made safe for the engine in regards to timing and fueling.

congrats on the new truck bud. need to update your sig man.

as far as a programmer, id recomend the adren with pulse. u will need an airdog or a fass regardless to keep from ruining your vp. good luck with it man
