I finally got around to pulling the Comp along with all the wiring harness last night so it's all goin into Edge today for testing. Just lookin at the harness though we may have found an issue. Just up behind where it plugs into the box there is a little electronic lookin gizmo with a wire goin into it and a stub of a wire coming out the other end with solder on it. I'm assumin that there is a wire broken off here and wondering if it may be part of the problem with how this box has treated VP44's.

In my own opinion Edge has never done anything Right I would scrap pile the Edge Comp Mod. and Go with the Quadzilla adrenaline much safer with the right supply fueling and you will be way more pleased with it ive talked to 10 or more guys running edge products including my self expecialy the Evolutions but also the Juice w/A and Comp modules are all Junk Seen First hand Problems with All Three Evo Comp and J w/A from about ten different users so I can personaly say FACT EDGE = PROBLEMS

These opinions go both ways though. These forums are full of bad stuff happening from the Quad boxes also, including catchin fire while the trucks parked in the driveway. I don't know why it's so hard to build a good performance module but they all seem to have issues. On the good side for Edge products, ya I've had problems with them but in every case they have been beyond great in customer service. I bought this Comp in 2001 and have never paid a dime for anything they have fixed on it and they have had it back in the mail to me the same day they receive it for repair.

My thoughts on this right now are that I will probably sell this box though and go with a Smarty. I never have cared about this truck bein fast. It's a farm truck and heavy hauler so I need the low end grunt that the Smarty provides. This Comp has just always been a toy to play with.

I'm running a hot rod pump on the beater with no wire tap, 240's, and a ts MVP with no issues.

Smokes less than my HRVP/275 combo ever did with more power. Can't comment on the egt part though.
