Default trans temp. gauge install

i'm doing a little research on the feed line to the cooler.the manual doesn't come out and say which line is the feed.it does state the tranny fluid goes to the water to oil cooler first, then the air to oil cooler.so i'm thinking,i can tap into the line before the water to oil cooler for my gauge.look's to me like the line is about 1/2".maybe a hardware store will have a tee, that i can use to thread the sensor into.
anybody have a little in-sight or something they might like to add.any info would be appreciated

ya,thats where i want to install the temp probe.i just wanted to make sure that i'm gonna cut into the correct line.
normally,i would disconnect both line's and see what one is squirting fluid everywhere.my truck doesn't fit in the garage,so it would be nice to keep the mess off the driveway.

i guess there's not as many unlucky to have an auto guy's like me.i was thinking of threading it into one of the test port's till the nicer weather break's,but didn't know which out of the four.i know this gauge is pretty important,so i'm suprised there's not and good thread's with pic's.

thanks for the input.
the issopro gauge doesn't give enough wire in the harness to make it that far.i'll have to figure out weather to lengthen the wire or maybe a nice rubber grommet through the tranny tunnel.it's going in the 2nd gen dash pod from autometer which mount's in the center of the dash anyway's.

i ended up installing my trans temp today.i found a plug under the transfer case shifter boot.i ended up pulling out the cup holder to help me run the wire up to the dash also.the harness ended up being long enough with this route.i took a couple of pic's.
here's the hole that i pulled a plastic plug from

wire drop's out on top of the tranny from this hole.ran it through a rubber grommet and used a little butyl to seal it good
