Default Edge EZ adapter question???

I may buy an edge ez chip that would come off of a 2002 pickup. Will this work on my truck? Is there an adapter I have to buy? Thanks...

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Also what guage pod would I want use with this chip? Does it matter?

this will not work on your truck. You need one from a 98.5-00 the 01 and 02 have different sensors. I have an edge comp with gauges that would work on your truck. Don't tap the pump wire it's just like an ez.

How much would you be willing to let it go for?

So it definetly won't work huh? The guy told me it would just need another adapter to plug in. Come on guys, let me know. I don't want to miss out on this if it will work.

how much does he want for the box? Then you have to find out how much the wiring harness is for it. Sometimes it's not worth it. I was told the programming is different but I don't know for sure.

He only want $175 for the box. I don't know how much the wiring harness is or if they even make one. That's what I'm trying to figure out.

I think it need adapters and I don't see them on the edge site. I think someone said that a new harness for a juice was like 100 so you would be paying anywhere from $250-$275 for a pretty mild box. For just a little more there are a few edge comp boxes that would make more power without tapping the pump wire. Do you have gauges? If not you need them especially for the fuel pressure or your going to be spending a lot to fix the injection pump

I thought it would need an adapter too but I'm not sure where to find it. No, I don't have guages yet. I was going to wait and buy a monitor instead of guages. I planned on doing that before any chip but then I found this ez for 175. If I can't find the adapter for this maybe I'll just put the money towards a monitor. Is there a monitor that I can get that will work without having a chip, and that will be compatible with any chip I decide to get? I've already replaced one IP. I definetely don't want to do it again.

I have found that actual gauges are more accurate than the monitors. My juice was off by about 10 psi on boost at wot. Had manual boost gauge hooked up and the reading on both was different by 10 psi. just looked up some monitors and they are like $300 plus either get a juice with attitude, a adr with pulse or a box with gauge setup used.

You would have to send that EZ to Edge to have them rewire the box. They dont make an adaptor. The only adaptor made is from an 01 to 02.

That would be pointless huh. They probably charge what I'd pay for the thing to do that.
