how hard is it to do studs and ring it is it something that an average joe with mechanic ablitys do in the drive or does it need to be done in a shop and if in a shop how much does it cost to have it done by a profecianal

Studs can be done in your driveway. In order to do rings you have to send your head into a Machine Shop that knows what there doing.

how much does it usueally cost to have this stuff done i might do it and what exactly is the rings whats it do and help

Depends on the machine shop,mine was $750.00 to do mine but that included springs and valve guides,valves..etc.I had the head o-ringed.You need to ask around for a good machine shop,word of mouth goes a long way.O-ringing the head helps to keep from blowing head gaskets.You will need help lifting the head off,they are a little heavy or a cheery picker.
