Are they really that bad? My buddy has boost and trans temp on his first gen and he hasn't complained about them once, except his gauge pod leaves them in an awkward spot so he can't see the trans temp without having to sit up higher while driving. I mean I thought they seemed like a great deal for the price?

I cant comment on their customer service but they arent that accurate from what Ive seen. Why would you put ricer guages on a diesel?? Isspro have been making guages for probably 80 years and Autometer is not far behind. You get what you pay for guys.

If a guage cant give you an accurate and/or repeatable reading - how good of a deal is it?

My brother, my buddy and I all have fuel pressure gauges from glowshift. And they SUCK!!!! The egt and boost gauges seem to work great and be accurate but the fuel pressure gauge is junk. (my buddy has gone through THREE sending units and still doesn't have one that works)
We bought them cause we liked the seven color ajustability and stuff but I think they r cheap quality.
As far as customer service goes they are about average. You have to pay shipping both ways to get warranty work done. But if you keep on em they usually work with you.

All that said.... If I was buying gauges again i would probably put up with "blah" plain guages and get something that works! Like autometer. And make for certain inhad a mechanical FP gauge, not electric.

gauges are the last thing i'd want to skimp on personally, get a good set once and you don't have to do it all over again
