I have a friend who recently purchased a 99 2500 cummins that came with a bully dog bully box model number 42101 that had been disconnected and the connections instructions were not included with the truck. I was wondering if anyone has the same programmer and still has the idiot sheets lying around somewhere or if anyone could help me figure out where the big red wire and the big black wire go and also the blue wire. im assuming the red and black are power and ground but not sure. have no idea what the blue wire is for. i know the other part of the harness hooks to the map sensor and then the data connector. any help would be greatly appreciated!

 

I believe the blue wire ties into one of the wires on the VP44 harness.

 

one of the guys at bully dog told us where the wires hooked up, but didn't go into detail. and if anyone has a wiring diagram, that would be really helpful. I'm also looking for a spare banjo bolt that goes onto the intake side of the injection pump with a fuel pressure sensor, as my bully box won't function properly without it. If nobody has one they are willing to give away or sell, but knows where i could locate one, any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

 

thanks very much for all the help. i called bully dog and they failed to mention that the box was originally designed and built by someone else and all they did was buy the idea and put their name on the front of the box. it is originally produced by Blue Chip Diesel Performance and they still manufacture the box, have instructions on their website, and sell parts for the box. just for future reference for any one looking for any of this information.
