Default Power Issues

Today I tried to fully see how much power my Edge Comp gave me at 5x5, to my surprise when I mashed my foot to the floor it didnt seem to haull a$$ the way I thought it would and kinda "lugged" for a second till the power seemed to catch up.
Is that normal? I re-did the ground for the Edge and am going to do the IP wire tap again on Saterday. My TC locks and unlocks when its about to shift but my noise filter I'm getting will help that issue but does anyone have any suggestions or input. Is my setup still "slow" or can something be weird?
Also what next mod will I get the most bang for the buck besides my noise filter and guages I'm going to have next?

Did you try a different setting on the Comp?

Without a trans controller, it is perfectly normal for the TC to unlock before it shifts... The PCM does this to make the shifts easier on the trans.

Also, if the pump wire isn't making contact, you're not going to notice much of a power gain on the higher levels with the box...

I'm going to re tap and probably solder the wire and make sure but I'm pretty sure its ok.
to answer luke I didnt try different setting I figured 5x5 was the best since it fuels alot lower. What do you guys have good experiance with setting wise?

Also, what should my next mod be for the most power? I have to take care of the trans but I'm saving up now. I was thinking a real exhaust kit since mine is just 4" straight that I made and injectors. I just want the power to beat little ricers.

the 4" will work fine. depending on age of box take all fuel settings to 5 and try it. they had a prob at one point and didn't work unless all sub settings were at 5. I have a nice set of injectors for sale too.

Thats a fair price, I'll have to see how my funds are, I just ordered my noise filter.
Thanks alot though, I'm hoping that injectors will be a noticable power increase.
