You can get a T in any size, so that win't matter. But somethig to think about here. I have had my stock filter removed for over a year now and don't think I have had any problems. That I know of anyway. I am now getting ready to put it back on though, just with no filter in it. If you remove the cannister you lose the "Water In Fuel" Sensor as well as your fuel heater. Especially in the winter times this can be a real problem. So think about this for a while and if you still remove it, don't get rid of it just in case you change your mind.

you don't need a T.

replumb the unit to flow into the fuel cannister and keep your pressure gauge as it was. all will be fine.
