Default X-Monitor... Installed, but ???'s

Alright, so I installed my X-Monitor, I'll grab some pics of it tomorrow, mounted it on top of the steering column, and it looks great (just blocks the view of the WTS light). However, I bought the FP kit for it, and it says it needs a 5V source. So thats the first question, how do I drop from 12V to 5V?

Next, my monitor shows Trans Temp, which is not what I need, I need it to show FP. Will it automatically switch to FP once it reads the right voltage, or do I need to reprogram it somehow?

WTF... Why can't they just give me what I need to begin with. This X-Monitor is dropping big time in my book.

should have just gone with a quad and pulse or edge juice... no issues that way... did you sell the other monitor you got?

Yeah, BigRig bought the TS monitor.

Big thanks to Red Rattler for noticing the MAP sensor is powered by 5V, so I can tap into that for power. Now I just gotta figure out how to change the display from Trans to FP. I'm not installing the FP kit until I install the AirDog I ordered.
