Default Got An Annoying Noise Out Of The Motor!

ok, after my rebuild, i have an annoying sound coming out of the rear of the motor that i cant figure out.. ill start with saying that we had to hone the 6th cylinder out quite a bit, but i dont think thats the issue cuz i have dang virtually no blowby.. there is the usual smoke coming out of the tube, but no oil. the motor has about 1500 miles on it now. the noise sounds like a dry lifter, like a cack-cack-cack sound.. it is really bad when you first start it up, like theres no oil back there, then it goes away for a brief moment, then comes back, but not as bad as when its started. this is driving me nuts! does anyone have any idea of what it could be?? oh and i do have a street cam in this along with 110lb springs and HD pushrods if that makes any difference.. thanks in advance for the help!

i would just pull the valve cover and make sure all the jam nuts on your valve adjusters are tight and make sure one of them isnt out of adjustment

ok, i have checked valve clearance, and its ok... you know i didnt think about the rocker arms being worn, cuz thats where it sounds like where its coming from... but when i was assembling the engine they didnt look that bad

how much did you hone the cyl. wall on number 6? sounds to me like you have some piston slap.
