Tuner?

Smartys are pretty good tuners as well as EFI Live are pretty popular. But there's a bunch of tuners out there. Do your research carefully and don't rush it. If ya don't have gauges, get them first as ya need to monitor EGT's, Boost, Trans temps, and Fuel pressure. Cheap insurance against blindly pushing your mill to far, and fkng it up. What are/is your goal(s) for your truck? You seem to be off to a good start.

I do not, but Ive heard a few of my buddies tossing their ideas around with their older cummins trucks. EFI is a big topic with these guys. Ive played with the smarty jr, Bully dog and Quadzilla. My favorites were the Smarty, and Quadzilla.

I’ll have to look into EFI Live on a vp44. I didn’t realize Ross and the team had added coverage. I’ve used all of the above as well. Each has upsides and downsides depending on the end user and their combination.

I probably should have researched this first before posting it. I posted based on the rantings of my buddies. I really should know better since Ive corrected some of them in the past with mis-info. I think I gave myself a black-eye...
