Default Holset Cheetah Turbo

Hey guys just wondering what y'all think about the fleece cheetah turbo and how well it would work on my current set up. Read good things about it so far and just wanted to get some opinions on it. My end goal is around 600hp.

great turbo if you are competing in work stock sled pulls...

otherwise you can do better for the money..

super b special will outflow it and make power easier.

you're gonna need a lot more fuel if you plan on 600hp.

7x.012 SAC or 6x.013 SAC injectors would be a good start...

Well truck is my DD and it will see the track every once in a while, but no sled pulling. I was just honestly leaning towards the cheetah because all I have read is very little lag, drops EGTs pretty well and those things sound amazing. And I know if I don't want to have concerns about EGTs or lag or anything I should get compounds but I cant justify spending that much just for a 600hp goal. And I know the larger singles spool slower and make more top end, but with the 3.55 gears and 35s on it right now I'm crawling from a start as it is haha. Prob have to end up regearing to 4.10 ratio for sure.

I wouldn't...

I have 4.10's with 35's and want 3.54s.

have no problem accelerating though and I shot for 600hp with compounds and fell short of it...

my injection pump is just too tired and old to hit the 600hp mark.

Well with the compounds you are way better off than me right now. I hit 900-1000 EGTs from just taking off with 25% throttle and not even pulling anything. And that's just on a 60* day outside. This summer might get interesting if I don't have something done by then.

That's kind of another reason I'd wanna do 4.10s though since I'm going to a larger single I'll be losing even more take off and spool time.

How much hp are the stock VP44s good for? Never had any trouble with mine but was kind of wondering if I'd have to get a HRVP44 to fuel bigger injectors and turbo.

And I like what I've read on the super b special so far, so thanks for the recommendation

hrvp44's are a waste of money. they are nothing more than a SOVP44 with a timing box built into them.

SOVP44 can fuel to 650hp with large injectors and a large single or compounds.

I have the air and injectors for it...my injection pump is just too old and weak.
