Default My Motor Build

Hey you guys I hit 210k miles about 2 months ago. Ever since then I haven't had the motivation to do much to the motor as I feared it wouldn't be worth it so now it's winter and of course I get bored and start thinking... Well since I don't drive my truck in the winter time anyways why don't I go ahead and build the hell out of my motor and p pump it. So as of now I'm about 4 days into the project and I just got the head off today. Cylinders look pretty nice.. Only thing I'm not liking is the goldish colored metal flakes in the small puddles of fuel in 2 or 3 or my cylinders. I guess that doesn't matter now.. I'll keep the pictures posted as I come along with the project. I work a lot so it won't be a very fast project.

Where's the tag on the block? Bottom right by the oil pan?? It doesn't say 53

Do you guys have any suggestions on boring? That 12 valve I just bought had a ring come apart and left a pretty rough groove in the cylinder wall.. It's going to need to go 40 over or so. I was curious on oversized pistons or could I just sleeve this one cylinder back to stock? The rest of the cylinders are fine just need honed.
