Edge Comp/Hypertech Stack

Edge Comp/Hypertech Stack
Ive been running the Edge Comp for almost a year now. Its a good chip, but I wasnt crazy impressed with it after I installed it. I just expected a bit more smoke and power. Recently, I programmed my Hypertech in to read some codes as I often do, and decided to try running both. I was surprised with the outcome! It really seems to wake my Edge Comp up. Level 3 on Hypertech + level 3x5 on Comp puts me in my seat and leaves people behind totally blacked out! After experiencing this, I looked into it a bit more and some people say they do it and others say its bad to do it. No real detail as to why though. Can anyone explain to me why and if it is hard on my engine or not??

it's not hard on the engine as long as you have the fuel pressure to back it up...
might be harder on your trans, but the engine can take it all day long no sweat.
now the downside to it: you WILL loose top end HP and TQ stacking programmers with all-in-one fueling boxes like the edge or adrenaline. it won't feel like it as it gives a strong bottom end that feels more powerful, but a dyno run will prove otherwise.
if you want to improve your bottom end power without the loss up top, send your comp box into edge and have it "hot unlocked"
the hot unlock makes acceleration from the edge far more aggressive and increases the fueling limit on the edge from 2800rpm to 3250rpm.

Adrenaline's are definitely nice, but with quadzilla out of business, they are harder to get and you have no support should the box get fried by a jump start or stops working for any reason.
I have been lucky with mine and not had any issues with it. had it for 5 years since they first came out.
