Default 47RE QUESTION

Looking to beef up my stock 47re, I bought the truck completely stock with 92,000 miles on it, now at 121,xxx trans has never gave me any problems, I also installed a 4 quart cooling trans pan with a temp gauge. Truck shifts like it is built but iam not sure. Looking to run a smarty with maybe an injector upgrade to 100 horse sticks down the road. Looking for some suggestions, local trans guy that is known for building bullet proof 47re's quoted me at $3500 out the door, but at this time i dont have the funds. I was thinking along the lines of a Revmax stage 3 tc and a valve body upgrade. I am pretty easy on the go pedal, no boosted launches or burn outs, and i dont tow anything beside my 14 foot boat, and firewood in the fall. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated fellas!!
Any personal testimonials with upgrades??

Definitely upgrade to a billet torque converter. The stock t/c is just some nuts welded to some thin sheet metal and even at stock power levels it wants to twist the nuts off of it. I bought a triple disc billet torque converter with a low stall from revmaxx and have been very pleased with it. You will want to put a shift kit in the valve body (or buy an upgraded one) to correct the factory mistakes such as no t/c flow in park and shuddering and also to get more clutch holding pressure. I also recommend a steel TV valve and an upgraded reverse servo. About three months after I rebuilt my tranny I lost reverse and manual first because the reverse servo got cocked sideways in the bore (fairly common) and held the band on until all the friction material was gone. Lots easier to do the first time than to tear the whole tranny apart and clean and reassemble it all again. Truck is only running stock power levels but it tows like a charm.
