your he351ve was not working properly. we have done 4 swaps with that turbo, all of them have a smarty stacked with quadzilla adrenaline, and they have ddp 150hp injectors, no smoke when veins or "nozzle" is fully closed. what can happen is the electronics go bad or the nozzle ring gets stuck and you lose performance because the veins are not closing all the way.

a little off topic but stacking a smarty with a quadizilla reduces power... just saying

unless you have a dyno to prove that please do not get me started. because i have 4 dyno sheets to prove you wrong. it all depends how you use them. im sure there are ways you could set them up to make your statement true. but not in this case. im curious why do you think it reduces power when you stack them?

Yea what he said. The last one I took apart had a small line up pin on the exhaust side that made it real pain putting it back together. ended up knocking the pin out. The nozzle was hung up on it because of a metal ring inside it was out of place somehow. Fairly easy to pull apart though. Wire brushes work nice.

scottmorgan 03-22-2013 12:45 PM

tell me more about this pin? is there anything that would alow me to have a little easer time than you had. basicly im asking did you learn anything that you wish you would have known before you took it apart?

can i use brake and carb cleaner on these parts? can i use parts cleaner on these parts?
