Anyone Running An Aftermarket Intake Horn?
#21
well when I dyno I can try stock, my intake, and the banks to see if it gains or looses. So far its comming in handy since its on my 06 so I can get the 3rd gen intake horns duplicated I can always polish it and re-sell it

Im going to weld on some bungs on the IC pipe to spray the water/meth earlier and hopefully get a more "even" spray into the motor, I dont think spraying up close like I have it now is flowing evenly thru to all the cylinder ports. So I'll dyno both ways and see how it comes out
after burning off all the powdercoat on the intake It looks like my polisher will have his hands full with this one... the casting is CRAP holy cow! pits all to heck and heavy heavy casting marks
here is a pic of it mocked up onto the head with the grid heater delete. what you see will all be polished

Saw a home made intake horn on craigslist. Was made out of 2 4" 90's and long enough that the heater delete was unnecesary. At the flange the tubing was "modified" to fit. Didn't pull the trigger cause of price and cleanliness of the metal fab but it did get me thinking about fabbing my own. Anyone have a stock intake they want to get rid of?? Would there be any downside to not using the heater delete?
