No it wouldn't hurt nothin for you to do it. I'm not sure what the safe zone for boost with hx35 i been told like 45 or so. My truck with smarty on level 9 I'm stuck at 32 pounds but that's the only major mod I have other than intake work and exhaust. Hopin to get a fass pump and 150 hp injectors here with tax return money

I would use a adjustable boost elbow or get a Edge Products boost elbow which happens to stop right at 35 PSI. Perfect limit and will support most mild mods without any problems. I don't suggest plugging or blocking the wastegate because you are taking a risk of damaging the turbo at one point or another. Not to mention much over 35 PSI and you now over the choke point and hot charging. Basically you want your boost pressure higher than drive pressure but much over 35 PSI it flips and drive pressure rises rapidly.

I'm currently getting 34 lbs boost from my j hooked hY 35 but was thinkin about goin to an hx 35 will there be more lag, will I get a denser charge, and what is a good limit of boost with no studs ? What about throwing a wicked wheel on it too?

I wouldnt boost the HX35 past 35ish PSI. Over 35 pushes it past its effective range, and you pretty much feeding hot air in to the motor. If you plan on going past you might as well get an aftermarket turbo.
