Default more boost?

My truck is all stock except for exhaust bigger air box and intake horn. Truck has no problem hitting 26 psi but it will not go over 26. Is it just cuz I dont have a programmer or what's goin on?

you need extra fuel and air to get more boost if you put injectors in or a programmer etc

the highest my truck has ever hit is 42 psi with all the mods in my signature. would def. recommend getting a nice aftermarket lift pump like a fass or air dog or dragon fire before getting a programmer. try and get one that comes with the upgraded larger diameter fuel line to feed the vp44. then get a programmer. that way you wont starve your vp44 of fuel causing it to eventually fail.

Auto or Manual transmission? If manual, you can pinch off the wastegate hose. Auto's are trickier to deal with. A J-Hook will work on the Auto trans turbos to gain more boost.

You could also put a boost elbow in if it's a manual.

It's a little more involved to block that wastegate off, as it is a steel tube compared to a hose. When I plugged mine, I pulled the tube off and threaded a machine screw into the tube inlet with red loc-tite on it. After that set up, I ground the head off with the bench grinder. Reinstalled everything, and went from 26PSI to 34PSI.

For you hy 35 guys you can upgrade to a hx35( What manuals use) You will gain a little bit more pep but with stock injectors and past 35lb's of boost your not gaining anything. I wouldnt take it past 40lb's anyway unless you want a new turbo
