X2 on removing the bed, if you can. I found it much easier than dropping the the tank.

Got my tools from work, this happens when I don't have them in the truck ofcourse, and put the test gauge on and 15psi dead head. My 1 month old isspro mechanical gauge with isolator and snubber is reading low. Where does it end? I am now going to have 2 fuel pressure gauges and a warning light/buzzer so I have 3 ways to know the whole truth. I may even run a 3rd mechanical gauge from autometer outside for fun. Now i'll have 3 FP gauges from 3 different companies cause someone is going to say the other 2 are junk and should've gone with the 3rd.

I drive around with 2 fuel filters, assorted fittings, spare lift pump and a buttload of tools to make sure I can get fuel to my vp the next time pressure drops. I have become a diesel doomsday preper!!!!!

Turns out that the isolator got whacked out on my mechanical gauge. So now I reinstalled the electric glowshift, took out the isolator (not a cheap thing to toss) and the pressure is fine. I am so paranoid about another VP that I watch the two gauges and I have my 8 year old daughter watch the road for me

Mechanical lift pump
You will still need an electric lift pump for the initial shot of fuel prior to start. I have learned that with any aftermarket system, it should be filtered prior to going through the pump. I had my first raptor seize due to a little piece of rubber. I then installed a new draw straw then put a vp max seperator between the tank and the new raptor while keeping the stock filter in the loop. This is the way we plumb the fuel systems in marine applications and it is rather fool proof and it solved all my issues.

Glad it wasn't a major issue. Any chance of warranty on that Isolator?

I called isspro and they said to reset the diaphragm but I just took it out. I have a blown Ranger that needs a FP gauge and really don't want gas in the cab, diesel just smells perty.

Turns out that it was the isolator for my fp gauge needing to be reset, I took it out and went direct to the gauge anyway as I don't trust it now. I put in a draw straw they are trying out at Vulcan Performance and it works great, certainly solved the problem I had with the one that comes with the raptor.

Which Draw Straw do you have? I have the DS V, and am a huge fan of it.

I think that is it, they mentioned that they changed it a little, I don't recall what model it is or what they changed. I had to modify the top of the basket a little more and the washer it comes with to make it fit. I am a huge fan as well, those guys know their stuff and the products are high quality.
