Id say your vp and lift pump are dead. Your can fix that for around 1550 with a new vp and a fass or airdog 150. However if you want to a p-pump swap your looking over 3k in just parts. But P1683 is a speed control code. Did you mean 1688?

sorry the codes i have are
1693 ecm code
1689 no comunication betweem pump and ecm
0237 low boost(vgt turbo is stuck all the way open)
to further this when i drive my truck will not build past 1400 rmp... if i clear the codes my truck runs great. intill the code come back. i thought that it would be my injection pump, but if it were i would think when i cleared the codes it would still run like ****.. however that is not the case. when i clear the codes my truck runs great with full power. then the codes come back and it will barly idel. it sputters arund trying to keep itsself alive. and when i go down the road i have no power and the rpm stop at 1400.. any suggtions? is it a bad ecm? or a bad ground somewere?
