Hey Guys first post, Just about to buy a 01 cummins qclb auto. 190,000miles and my boss runs a 05 6.0 powerstroke, he says that his tranny is like electricly programmed. and he can only run a select programmer that programs both his motor and his tranny. Is this true with the cummins??

 

I don't think any of the programmers have an effect on the how the transmission shifts with these trucks. Just how the engine runs.

 

The only thing electronic on the 47re is TC lockup and overdrive shift. The trans controllers for the 47re can change those two items and not much else. Shift points can be slightly altered by the TV cable or the VB adjustment pressure screws as well for 1-3.
