before we ported this head on my truck now i was running no orings and timing was 26degs.

no kidding? and good luck with it that high? would you reccomend that much timing for a DD truck?

no i wouldnt go near that high. this is a sled pulling truck.

im at about 17 now and would like to fiddle with it a little more, just dont want to over do it.

I havent timed mine yet. Idk how to do it n dont wanna mess it up i wish i could find someone to do it . I mite have to just take the plunge n try it

It's not hard, just takes a little time. The biggest help for me was to use a dial indicator to find TDC, and put a reference mark on the damper underneath the truck. That way I could see it while rotating the motor with the flywheel adapter. First time it took me a couple of hours, now I can do it in less than a half hour.
