I cant give you detailed instructions at the moment, though last time I did a set of 12v injectors, the guy whos shop I was at had a pulling tool for 1-4 IIRC then 5 and 6 (or just 6 maybe) was the real PITA. I remember having to use a pry/crowbar to get 6 out- just a little tip for ya there. and good luck!

Oh, and I forgot if the pulling tool was a custom deal or if it is a specialty tool floating around. Maybe somone else with some insight may know where one is at and might be able to locate one for you to borrow....?

Use a 19mm open end wrench to break the injection lines loose.

use an 8mm box wrench to remove the return line banjo bolts from the injectors first.

Then a 10mm on the holde down bolt for the return line and for the banjo on top of the fuel filter housing. After that remove the return line. This is better than bending it out of the way.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Then use a 22mm(?maybe 24mm haven't had any sleep) to remove the injector hold down nut, from each injector.

Next take a piece of pipe just slightly larger than the injector bore (1 1/4" or so) and cut it to about 1 3/4-2 1/4" in length. If this is slid over an installed injector about half of the threads of the injector should be above the edge of the pipe. Next take a lugnut off of one of your wheels.

THe lugnut will scre directly onto your injector. As you tighten the lugnut with a wrench it should seat against the pipe and therefore pull the injector upward.

After that.

Place new into into injector bore. Place retaining nut on injector. Tighten retaining nut.

Repeat on five remaining injectors.

Replace return line and injection lines, bleed air from system, and start.

Be sure and chech thaat the crush washer comes out with each old injector and that you use new crush washers with the new injectors. II should have included them.

That banjo bolts are 10mm and the lines holders are 8mm. A 15/16 deep socket for the injector hold down nuts. The return line banjo on the fuel filter is 12mm.

hell the hanes repar manual said you can only use a deep socket on the 96-98.5 yoiu must use two open ended wrenches for the injectors is the only part you unscrew is the hold down nut?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

beacause in the book it showes an open ended wrench on the hold down bolt then a adjustible wrench on the injector itself

Yes you only unscrew the hold down nut. You can make your own puller with a lug nut. After you remove the hold down nut. You can stack 2 box end wrenches over one another and screw the lug nut down. The lug nut will press against the wrenches and pop the injector out.

so did you get them out?
if all the stuff has been removed from the top, i've used a small pry bar before to develop leverage and they pop straight up and out.
