Default what injectors to get

98 12v ccsb
ok folks my injector bodies are leaking so time for some new injectors 300k on the stock ones as far as i know. ok i have a built tranny billet input output and convertor shift kit. rear end has been rebuilt front drive shaft rebuilt rust inside cab tackled new carpet new tps all new throttle linkage bell crank and so forth new adjustable pressure relief fuel. new throttle cable new batteries starter alternator water pump radiator belt tenchoner belt kDP done darn thats a lot of stuff i almost have me a new truck. and gauges trans, boost, and egt

ok i don't have many mods except #10 tst plate full forward then sled back a c hair afc adjusted and star wheel adjusted to a cloud that dissipates right away. my ? is what injector"s would you recommend. 50 hp 75hp 100hp. so on and so on.

my goal with the truck is to build a good solid truck that has good all around power and fuel mileage. i do want to go with a little bit bigger turbo than stock in the near future and 4k ask I'm shooting for the 400-450 hp range what do you guys think. and keep the egt's manageable or what do you guys think is more realistic.

thanks mark

90hp maybe i dont like to go by HP ratings because they never give you what they claim. 5x.014's are pretty big and the 7x.01's are smaller than the 5x.012's.

ok cool thank you very much for the info I've only really now them by the hp #'s rather than by the size #'s I'm still learning trying to build the truck properly. and not throw good money at bad decisions you know what i mean. what would be a good turbo for the 5x.012? and should i leave the #10 plate in it or grind it to a little bit more of a plate once i do a turbo?
thanks

i run a super B on my 95. it is a great replacement turbo for a truck that is still used for a truck. great spoolup, you wont get huge #'s from it but 450hp is easily attainable. i run 5x.012's in most everything i put on the road, they offer PLENTY of fuel and good drivability. if you want a bit bigger turbo look into a 62/65/14. i also run a #6 plate in my truck currently... i have lots of fuel on tap and that is how i govern some of it. if you have a stock plate i would suggest grinding it down and keeping you #10 for a backup incase your egt's get to high.

No 5x.012's flow significantly less fuel than 7x.010's. A 5x.014 injector and a 7x.010 injector flow about the same rate of fuel.

5x.012's are rated at 90hp and 5x.014's and 7x.010's are rated at 140hp.

I would go with one of the last two, I'm getting some 7x.010's here in the next month.

area = pie R squared

7x.01's are smaller than 5x.012's
.0005497 vrs .0005654

while 5x.014's are = to .0007696 sq in. which are much bigger than 7x.01's
