i have a 5 its deeper than a 4 and also more of a pain to install depending on who you get it from. They say a 5 flows better but if your gunna straight pipe it i dought you will ever notice a diffrence. If you buy it from mighty diesel its not very much more for the 5in.

performance wise you will notice no difference other than a lighter wallet. what turbo are you running? if you have the stocker and plan to upgrade in the future you are again looking at much more money because you will need a different down pipe. 4inchers are readily available.

Several of the late model semi truck have a pretty good length of 4 inch pipe behind their 15 liter engines, so I doubt a 4 inch straight pipe will cause any restrictions behind a pickup motor. If your getting stacks I'd go with 5 or 6 inch, under body stick with 4, IMO.
