the tag on the driverside of the timing cover. then you pin time the engine to set everything to factory specs and adjust accordingly

Roll the engine around til the pin slides into the pump gear, remove your DV and measure the lift of the plunger. Dependent on your measurement there's a chart that'll let you know what degree youre at. Choose desired degree, set pump to correlating mm. Crack pump gear loose from pump shaft, spin engine backwards until pin falls back into pump gear, tighten nut. The pin just tells you where TDC is. That's pretty much the gist of it all, a little more in-depth than that.

if you cant get your pin out you can pull #1 injector and be very very nice with a small screw driver or punch to find TDC by rotating the engine

Do the timing at your next oil change before you drain the oil, that way you can blast the shaft and gear with some brake clean to make sure it's perfectly clean and not have to worry about slippage bc of residue on the shaft.

ya you pin time the pump, put you meter in, zero it out, figure out how much you wanna advancet hings, bust everything loose time it, find tdc, then tighten it all back up.
