im not driving it so??? do you have a pyro? if not you very much should. sounds like she might be a bit on the warm side. you should have a hx35 turbo, which you dont because the pictures are of a bolt on housing so you have a whc1 which is the same thing and a pretty good stock turbo or the h1c which is what it most likely is if it doesnt have a wastegate. that is most likely your problem. its not a very efficient turbo.

from the looks of your picture you want the hx35 so you dont have to buy a different down pipe. it will be a direct bolt on. get a wastegated housing and plum everything up when you get it to relieve drive pressures. i would recommend the stock 12cm housing or maybe a 14cm. if you dont already have buy a boost elboy to go with the new turbo so you can get those boost #'s up.

does your exhaust have the 3in flange then flare immediatly to 4in??? if so get the 35 the 40 has a totally different down pipe.

get what you pay for i suppose. however i have an EMUSA centercection on my garrett t3/4 and they are IDENTICAL! thrust washer were different because the garretts were upgraded. some are great and some are junk. i think its hit and miss.
