Default fuel pressure to lift pump???

how much fuel pressure do i need to supply to the factory lift pump on a 95, to produce 45-55psi after the lift pump?

ive also heard that you should run 1/2 inch ID tubing for your fuel system. if this is true is it from tank to pump or lift pump to injector pump? where to where?

thanks

If you're trying to get 45-55 psi after the lift pump, your best bet is to bypass the factory lift pump altogether. What's going to happen is with that much pressure, you're factory lp isn't going to be able to keep up with the supply, and end up deadheading the injection pump. Just run an Airdog/FASS straight from the tank to the injection pump, and you'll be able to hold 40 psi pretty steady. If you need more than that, you can get an Aeromotive A1000 and a regulator, and set it how you need it.

i dont think the stock lp will be able to handle 1/2in fuel line from the tank to the lp. dont think it will be able to keep up.

Torkteknology.com <---- he's got two articles written up on the stock LP and working on the 3rd, packed full of info. No definitive answers, but really helps with understanding the factory fuel system.

Line size has no effect on the pump
