Default High EGT Low Power

hey I have a 97 Dodge 2500 auto and I am having problems with high egt's. I have 4" exhaust, a fass system, fuel plate all the way forward and 60hp injectors. Then I just put a HX 40 Turbo on it, my other one was starting to go out. I was wondering if changeing to a afe would make that much difference on boost. Im only getting like 17 lbs max. I was wondering if I clamped the hose on the waste gate if I could get by with the stock air box. I like just throwing away the air filter... And if I clamped the hose what max boost is on a stock head gasket. Thanks Dylan

i would just do a BHAF.. and get an adjustable boost elbow that will help alot without the high drive pressure u will get with the plugged wastegate.

cold air will help. if you cant move air efficiently from intake to tail pipe something is getting hot.
