Just as a quick question, is it worth it to spend 65 bucks to TST for their KDP "kit", or better off to buy the crank and cover seal from Cummins and make your own washer?

The timing cover seal kit from NAPA is $43 and it comes with the rear gear case cover seal (which you don't need). Making the tab is easy. There are patterns floating around to make the tab. Just make sure you loctite all the bolts.

I made my tab too either way as long as you fix it I've heard of taking a punch and peening the hole around the pin also.
