Try to stay out of the internals as much as possible. Any time you start messing with them the reliablilty goes down hill. The real problem is everything down stream of the powerplant.

Will all the rest BR able to hold up? I thought about that too like the rear axel driveshaft and stuff? I have a pretty dam good tranny for the power

I think you have a Dana 80 in the back, its a pretty strong axle.

If I was you I wouldn't even pull the head unless the headgasket blows.

So it's safe to just do kdp and head studs? Would it damage anything when the head gasket blows?

yes! you could get coolant in the engine and then in the oil and you could pressurize your cooling system and blow stuff up so it can be bad!

Unless you have a huge amount of fuel or are running some kind of injectable, blowing the head gasket will just blow the head gasket.

Mine is blown right now spits anitfreeze out the pass side at the back if I get on it. Soooo a little silver seal and drive really gingerly until the bolts and gasket gets here.
