Default my 96 cummins

got a 1996 cummins i'm about to grind the fuel plate and was wondering if this increases the turbo boost or what can i do to increase boost on a stock turbo

the easiest thing to do is clamp off the wastegate hose but then you run a risk of overspeeding the turbo and kaBOOM. another way to do it is to put an adjustable valve inline with the wastegate hose and create a restriction that is adjustable to your boost needs. you can also buy an elbow that does the same thing but its not adjustable. or you can tighten the spring on the wastegate to make it build more boost before it opens up. ive got the elbow installed on my hx35 and i can hit 40psi in a hard pull situation. you can also crank the starwheel on the afc housing to allow the pump to fuel more before building boost look for the sticky thread under the 12v bombs section for a better explanation.

Just keep in mind that anything over 35lbs on a 35 is is just creating hot air and overspeeding it.
