Whats the advantages of having a hx35 vs the wh1c? or vs. an upgraded wh1c?

Both turbos spool about the same but the 35 will build more boost. The H1C will also cause your EGT to be higher. A friend of mine put a HX35 on his 89 and it hauls A$$ now. HX40 would cost about the same as a hx35 and spool the same. It would just have a little better top end.

Any idea where to get a good HX40?
I also have an BD exhaust brake, would that matter mounting it up?

^^^What he said. My friend bought a chinese one for his truck and it lasted 6k on a stock truck. The shaft didnt have a place for the oil seal so how it ran in the first place is beyond me. The material is also very poor quality, the compressor housing looks like its porous and the exhaust didnt fit the center section just right. I can get pics if you guys would like.
