Default Homemade FASS system.....

Hey Guys, just bought a FASS 250 GPH replacement pump head on ebay the other day (got a a whale of a deal on it) and I'm planning on putting it on my 95. Now, I plan to install a draw straw on my tank, run that into the stock fuel strainer unit from my 12V, then from there to the Fass pump unit via an adapter plate made to bolt to the fass pump head. Then from there, I was going to run it to a pair of IH 7.3 IDI filter heads, plumbed in parallel, then up to the IP. Does this sound like a workable setup? Or do you think the 7.3 filters won't be able to take the flow of the 250 gph pump? There would be 2 of them in parallel, so each would only see half the flow.

I'm thinking this would take care of my fuel supply issues, hard starting, (leaky lift pump) and keep the IP cool and well fed.

Lookin for ideas here. Budget is tight right now, but wanna do it kinda-sorta right too. LOL

im not 100 percent on this one, but just to be safe i would got down to the nearst napa and buy two filter blocks they are probably cheap and could handle the psi.

The big Baldwin style blocks? Sounds like an idea. I thought also about maybe getting one of those Fuel Filter/water separator filters that goes on a farm gas pump as they are designed to FLOW big time. Then follow that up with like a 2 micron filter after that.

I don't intend to have a pressure regulator on the pump. I'm gonna let either the overflow valve in the IP regulate the pressure, or I'll replace the OFV with a standard fuel pressure regulator.
