hey, I've got a line on a cheap 6.7L turbo (holset HE351VGT) and I was wondering if there is any way to have a mechanical actuation for the vanes, etc, and if there's any benefit to using that unit

 

yeah there is a stand alone controler made by fleece performance. There is also a way to hook it up with vacuume. there is a thread on here not to long ago about it.

I just bought the same turbo with 30k on it for 200 bucks. gotta love the fact it comes with an exhaust brake.

the one I'm looking at is also 200 bucks.. don't list the mileage on it, but it can't be that high

 

Should notice a quicker spool up than a stock 5.9 turbo should be plenty to choose from a lot of us 6.7 guys have pilled them of to run other turboes as for what it will do HP wise I have no idea
