I just saw a video somewhere (youtube maybe?) where some guy put one on his 2nd gen 24 valve and he used the spring and solenoid. He had a video of the thing working while he was driving it and it looks like it works like a wet dream! The solenoid just controls the built in exhaust brake. I would probably go that route if I were doing it to my truck. Just my 2 cents

I know, I really like the way it sounds when it opens up. If I wasn't planning on making a lot of hp down the road with my truck, I would definitely put this on.

the flange on the vgt turbos are different than the t3, from what i understand its in between a t3, t4 size so you would have to moddify the way it mounts up

from what i have heard you can just ream out the holes with a diegrinder, take the studs out and match them up. possibly port your stock manifold a little bigger to match. and another way to go about doing it would be a wastegate to control the vanes. seems to work pretty well and there is some writeups on here and on other sites about how to do it. seems pretty easy

very nice... would like a bit more detail on how the solenoids/dashpots are actuated, but I'm seriously thinking of it...
