A 5x0.018" VCO nozzle is typically ~ 5LPM, I have seen 5x0.025" micro-blind sac nozzle flow almost the same yet produce more hp. That is not what I would call large, a 5x0.043" S-type nozzle is.

what is a S type nozzle? and were these 5x.043's in a pulling truck or tractor?

S-type nozzles have a 5-6mm needle guide opposed to 3.5-4mm in a P-style, 5.9L truck application, Stanadyne for a DT466.
