The guy that bought my old dually took the fp out and is running plateless. Whats the pros/cons to this movement?

Thanks

It is just like running a 0 plate ff

I have been plateless for 2 years now and will not be running a plate anytime soon

I don't run one. Works well, no wondering about whether there's any more gain to be had in that department. Downside is controlling smoke around cops IMO, and some star wheel tuning could probably fix most of that.

the difference is you dont have a plate
its about the same as if you installed a 0 plate ff
some ppl have told me that it can make the ip wear out prematurally

There is no harm to the injector pump when running plateless. As for the smoke issue that is all in tuneing your afc.

The difference would be using boost to control when the pump fully fuels where as with a plate it all depends on the plate profile.

oh great not this topic again. im not any P-pump master but i know running plateless doesnt hurt anything. fuel plates are the biggest waste of money. don't fall into the fuel plate sales gimmick crap or whatever. rip your plate out and tune your afc the way you want. it really isnt hard to tune an afc and is very rewarding.

well i would much rather have somebody going and searchin the site for how to tune an afc then on a site deciding between which $130 fuel plate they want. are twelve valves are gonna become a thing of the past if nobody knows how to tune them.
