Default How much boost on stock intercooler?

I'm thinking about running on the track some, but need more air. I'm comparing twins as opposed to NOS. I know both are a strain on the head gasket, and I'm prepared to deal with that. But I am worried about the stock intercooler if I go with twins. How much boost will the stock intercooler handle?

This number is in no means scribed in stone. My advice try it, she'll either go or blow.

I was going to keep the stock one, but before putting it back in the truck I thought it would be best to at least leak test it first. Soooo, I filled it with water. Well, lets just say it would work well as a lawn sprinkler. I stopped counting pin holes at about a dozen, but it has plenty more.

So I guess the real question should be, would an aftermarket intercooler be worth spending twice as much as just buying another stock one? I'm thinking probably not.

You rarely hear of stock IC's blowing. Save the cash.
