Default o/d unit rebuild

so what is the average cost to rebuid o/d unit? o/d does not seem to like my new 75hp stage 2 injectors. tranny shifts real good and is strong. however in o/d at 50 to 60 it now make this weird vibration that shakes the cab a little. no noise just this out of balance kind of feeling. i hear that the o/d unit can be a weak link and maybe the new injectors have proven to be a little too much for the little guy. any thought on this issue or advise would be appreciated.thanks

i think you can get the od unit out without pulling the tranny, but if its sent metal and stuff through u whole tranny it needs to come out and be gone thru. as for the cost it depends if you just need new clutches or the planet and bearings. i have blown my od out twice. once it stop working but all the other shifts worked perfect-sitll had to rebuild everything and get new convertor cause there was pieces of it thru the whole tranny. 2nd time the planet teeth chewed the od planet gears all up and i just had to get a new planet and clutches. in short you cant really be sure of any price until you get in there and see what happend, i paid 100bux for a newish updated planet and i think the clutches and steels are around 5$ bux each.

ps you need a press to get the od clutch pack apart, its got like a 100lb spring holding it together

thaks for the input as i really think the o/d is on the weak side. i just changed the tranny fluid before the injector install and there was not even a finger swipe of stuff on the magnet in the pan. so in short i don't think anything has come apart, but getting ready to.
