where to run mechanical oil gauge to
ball valve good idea i was wondering how secure these gauges are, can you plumb in a ball valve with whatever kinda hose your using. im guessin braided stainless would be best, or would the rubber line work with one of those small ball valve/ butterfly valve that i could into the cab just incase it starts to leak i can quickly shut off the valve.
Yeah rubber should work - but you have to make sure its rated for oil/petroleum and it has the correct temp rating. As for the ball valve - having it in the cab is good in case it leaaks from the guage, but what if the line leaks from the middle of the hose? You would still be pumping hot oil into the cab. I have my shutoff under the hood.
Mine is Swagelok braided stainless steel.

good insight thanks alot any oil pressure gauge better then any others of anything i might want to look out for. i know like auto zone and advanced sells a few would those work alright?
It almost makes sense to have 2 shutoffs. One in the cab and one under the hood
Btw you want a 0-100 psi guage. Any pressure guage should work. FYI, there also are electric guages which do not run oil into the cab. The mechanical gauge is the cheap way to do it though.

yeah ive seen those small brass type ball valves that tie inline with the tubing im just trying to figure out were i found them at. yeah ive seen the electrical ones im just looking for a dependable mech one since the stock cluster one sucks and scares the crap out of me when it decides to bottom out and bounce around.
