I did add, or something...

Anyway, what is the expected top end of a modified diesel? I just know with the two stock one's I've owned ('91 & '94), neither one would get much above 90.

Oh, and you can't tow a 'vette; you'll break it.

spend the extra few dollars and get DDP gov springs
pac brake springs wont fuel past about 34-3500rpms and have a bad lope when the engine is cold

I dunno my modded dually will get to 90+ very quickly though. Just raced some VW and turbo audi from a 55ish roll and the needle was VERY burried hehe

Hey guys just reading up on this and i was wondering... i have done alot of these mods to my truck too. I took out my fuel plate, star wheel FF, 4" exhaust, i upgraded my turbo from and hx35 to a custom one(the guy i took it to rebuilt it with a bigger turbine), and i have a 4"x8" free flow air filter AFE, and wastegate capped off. My question is why is it that i can only boost 15-19lbs on the first 3 gears then it jumps to 35lbs on the last gear? it did the same thing with the stock turbo. I thought by putting a bigger turbo it would boost higher in the early gears? Whats wrong with my truck? Engine has 245k miles on it. it feels very strong on the final gear. Stock turbo had no side or endplay- only rebuilt it to get more boost. SOMEONE HELP PLEASE!

i have a 97 with no plate gutted afc 4k gsk bhaf and stock turbo and i pull 38-45 psi outa my stock turbo... however my trucks not real fast with the gsk but its not slow i can beat most single tuner CRs and psds... but my top speed is also abot 140mph... after about 95 it takes it a lot longer to get to that speed but it will run that fast... it needs injectors and bigger turbo... gsk's arnt all that great just allows more fuel to rev higher... yea they help but injectors would do more and dont use ddp... im not allowed to use the words to discribe them well enough but they *$&%$#(^*$%^($*^$(%^&@(^&^(&^(&%(^*)()_#$%*!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if ya want a great injector and a good price go to SDX

im gonna have to disagree with gsk arnt great....and running bigger injectors without a gsk will be a waste

why would it be a waste? not evevybody wants to rev to 5k rpmand are happy with 2500... and as for the 4k gsk i never said it wasnt helpful just said its not the best thing.... i would think if he wants to go faster a set of injectors with a turbo and maybe a rack plug with a 0 plate and afc tuned maybe some DVs but he dont need any... a gsk will just let him fuel harder at a lower rpm and travel to higher rpms... is he lookin for 10sec 1/4's? prolly not in the next yr.... just my thoughts on the matter

remember when modifying anything its about makin everything work together not just throwing 1 part on an expecting it to work.. getting the right setup is keyed.

Rpm's=power. End of story. The more rpm's you can turn, the more power you can make. The stock fueling is very limited. Installing a gsk allows more fueling throughout the entire rpm band, which is good. No if's and's or but's about it.
