The impeller shaft still spins. Checked for obvious boost leaks again, nothing happened. Truck doesnt smoke TERRIBLY like it did the first time I friend my turbo; I can drive down the road and not smoke too bad. But as soon as I hit 1800+rpms it starts sputtering and popping like crazy. All the flanges are tight. Afc is looking good. I have a line going from the intake manifold to the afc, so the line from the afc to the wg is staying capped.
Somethign I noticed when driving it today. The turbo is NOT as loud as it was, and when I let off the gas the air doesn't "woosh" back into the intake.
Another thing I thought of was even when the truck was working right, the first cold-start of the day if I gave it too much throttle around 1800rpms or so it would pop and sputter real bad until its driven for a few miles. Dunno if its relevant or not.

interesting you mention the ofv. It has the stock ofv on it. But why would it be pouring black smoke when i floor it? And why would the truck start popping around 1800rpms when the turbo really starts kicking in? Why does my turbo not sound as loud and how come the truck doesn't "blow off" anymore when letting off the throttle?
your 12v or cr? I'm not really worried about it, just thought i'd mention it and maybe other members would think it's a related issue.
I need this thing going dude. I'm ready to crash it into large cement posts and stuff

about it being quiter.. its a new turbo correct? take of the silencer ring if its still there. airfilter could be old and it wouldnt have as much so it would be quieter. i didnt kno if you thought to check those lil things. goodluck
the turbo is wastegated in the correct spot if the hose goes into the compressor housing. also if you removed the old wastegate line rite at the afc and then plugged it then that is correct. even after you replaced the bolts on the afc still no power?
