15,16.16.5,17 how much is to much what's safe what are the pros and cons

8* degrees is what i got mine at, read the sig see if you would like that.

8 what do mean 8 over stock your 96 and my 97 r timed diffrent i think mines like 14.5 stock that would be 22.5 that seems like a lot

$h!t man i'm not sure I tought it was 8* in total but it doesn't sound right now that you mention it. Maybe it was set at 16. Seems like i'd remember that. I'll let you know.

id say around 15.5-17 to be safe without studs

Mileage, some seat of the pants power, truck will run much smoother

16.5 seems to be accepted as safe without studs. You get less EGT, more power, more nox i think, and increased cylinder pressure.
